When you send your manuscript or document to Editing Lane, I will send you a free editing sample of 1-3 pages in length, along with a price quote. I maintain a one-on-one relationship with my clients and am easily accessible by phone or email. In addition to delivering superior editing and proofreading results, I always strive to tailor my services to fit your needs in the following ways:
A professional edit or proofreading will eliminate errors that could compromise your hard work and will help you make your manuscript or document the best it can be. A second pair of eyes is a definite asset in the writing process. I will ensure that your writing is clear, well organized, and free of typos, punctuation and grammatical errors, and incorrect usage. Further, I will make sure that the style, tone, and formatting are appropriate and consistent throughout. Finally, where appropriate, I will also focus on such areas as transitions, structure, consistency, and accuracy. For works of fiction, I will address such aspects as character development, voice, tension, and plot development as well. For examples of the most common writing mistakes that I, as an editor, come across, and the appropriate editing and proofreading corrections, please see the Examples page.
